Dr Jitendra Nagar is an environmental scientist and working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Studies of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi since 2017. Earlier he has worked 3 years as a Scientist C in Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi to work on special Indo-US Project ‘Indoor air pollution from biomass cooking and Asthma exacerbation in Children &Women’.

Dr. Nagar has also worked 4 years as Environmental Scientist cum Research Associate in Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) Delhi, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India with special engagement of Ganga River projects like National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA), Nammami Gange& National Mission for Clean Ganga with Jal Shakti Ministry. He played an important role to identify the main sources of river Ganga pollution.

Dr Jitendra Nagar is also working as an Environmentalist and he founded a National based NGO “Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA India) in 2004 to work for protection of Environment and social Development. Now ESDA India has more than 1800 members across India and It is principally dedicated to enhancement of public awareness on preservation and up gradation of environment and management of all forms of air, water, waste, and river conservation, plantation, tree protection, sustainable development, social upliftment, gender equality as well as providing a platform for “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (Beti Bachao Andolan & Movement against Dowry system).
