Mr.Suneel Pandey

Director, Solid Waste Management, TERI​

He is also working as Adjunct Faculty at TERI School of Advance Studies (TERI SAS). Presently he is engaged in guiding students for their major projects and PhD scholars for their doctoral research. Prior to joining TERI, Suneel has worked for ERM India and at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on development of landfill liner for containment of land disposed hazardous waste and deriving material balances and associated environmental pollution for Hong Kong region as part of Post Doctoral Research. He has more than 30 years of consultancy/ research experience in the areas of municipal, industrial and hospital waste management, waste-to-energy issues, impact assessment, air, water and soil quality monitoring, site assessments, performance evaluation of ETP and institutional strengthening and capacity building.

Captain Satyendra Vaidya

Indian Navy Veteran (Waste Management expert)

Capt Satyendra Vaidya is a qualified helicopter pilot and an Indian Navy Veteran with more than 27 years of commissioned service.

After his retirement from the Indian Navy, he has acquired additional knowledge in SWM as well as recycling both through research and hands on work.

He has instituted waste management procedures including installation of a composting plant in an International School, undertaken rainwater harvesting besides conducting awareness programmes for school children.

Dr.Prabhjot Sodhi

Sr Program Director, Circular Economy Centre for Environment Education

He has been working experience with multiple donors in the space of Circular Economy (plastics) –like as Coca Cola, Hindustan Unilever Limited, HDFC Bank, Nyara Energy and Coca Cola Foundation. Mr. Sodhi has a diversified experience in leading and implementing projects in a wide range of areas – plastic waste management to climate change, natural resources, land development to livelihoods of poor, and marginalized in the tribal, rural and urban spaces for the last 40 years. He is a passionate, open and reflective individual. Mr. Sodhi has written ‘LOW CARBON LIFESTYLES’ which was released in COP20 in 2015 in Paris by the Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javdekar, Government of India. In 2012, awarded the Talented Conservator Award by The George Washington University, Washington DC, USA. In 1998, awarded the `Most Excellent Order of the Member of British Empire’ (MBE) by Government of the United Kingdom.
